Now, a very enjoyable and therapeutic part of the process - shaping the braces. The lighter the bracing the more the guitar will resonate, but adequate bracing is needed to withstand the 150 lb. plus tension exerted by the strings - it is said that the best sounding acoustics are just on the stable side of implosion. The braces are carved to remove as much material as possible. I’m using  traditional shaping that will give the guitar a bright and clearly defined voice, ideal for my fingerpicking style.
